Still High on Fall

I really am like a nutter when it comes to Autumn. I don't seem to be alone in my nuttiness, though. It was lovely to walk to the bus stop yesterday afternoon and not sweat. When I went to get the mail yesterday afternoon, the sky was just raining leaves (well, and rain, but whatever). The rain has dried up today, and oddly enough, it's going to be cooler than normal. We built a fire in the fireplace last night after dinner. It was lovely.

In two weeks, Rob and I will be celebrating our anniversary, and we'll be having a blast at our getaway. I got an e-mail from the owner yesterday with more detailed directions and a packing list. We don't have to bring anything major, just our own soap, towels and food. I was planning on the soap and food, but I'm glad she let me know about the towels. We'd have done a lot of dripping dry (yikes!). We're really looking forward to that trip.

I'm sorry for the lack of pictures today. I stitched on Rosti yesterday, but it was all the white in her dress. White on white doesn't really look like progress at all, and with bad lighting today, it doesn't seem worth it to fight the digital camera. I'll have a scan of the French Country Pumpkin tomorrow, though. It may even be close to finished by then!

Someone wrote earlier that there are only 11 weeks left until Christmas, yikes! I had started preview shopping for the kids a couple weeks ago, and even ordered a few things. Now it's time to turn my attention to my family. I don't have to worry about finding a gift for Rob, because he and I agreed a while ago that we are not going to exchange gifts. Instead, we are going to put the money we would have spent on each other toward buying a digital video camera. The video camera that we have is a hand-down that his parents gave us when Joshua was born. It will no longer actually take video. We can watch the videos we took, but we can't take any new. It's really unfortunate, because the last video we took this year was at Easter. We have no video of our vacation, or Joshua's first day at school, and we won't have anything for Halloween. Thank goodness I take pictures. Anyway, I have to get cracking on shopping soon.

Have a great weekend!
